In The Demon's Head #176: Tears
February 7, 2013
One of the beauties of my work is this, you can choose what people get to see. Sometimes they're long, sometimes they're short. Sometimes they're Raw and uncut, (as is the case with every post you see on this blog) and sometimes you don't see them coming. Today's post is short, but I feel it has a good meaning and would love to share it with you. So just beyond the picture is today's piece: Tears

Tears
To hell and back she's been,
And through it all she's been,
Her own best friend,
She's lived a lot,
Loved a lot,
And realized the joys that could,
But she's also lived a lie,
Been through hell,
Stared at death,
Without so much as batting an eye,
And in her tears,
The burning that stings her eyes,
It makes her feel better,
Like life has some meaning,
So she gets up,
Dust herself off,
Dries her eyes again,
And goes on,
Hoping that she can some day cry a tear,
For the last time,
And smile,
Once again,
Afterward
I won't lie. This is one picture that was tough to put words to. But I think I found a good balance and a great meaning. I'd love to hear some of your comments in the section below this post.
