In The Demon's Head #187: A Whole New World
May 19, 2014
Welcome back to In The Demon's Head, I know that it's been a while and because of that, this week I start you off with a very special treat. Today is the first in a new series of poems. I'm still not sure when this series will wrap up, but check back as each new entry is added.

Welcome back to In The Demon's Head, I know that it's been a while and because of that, this week I start you off with a very special treat. Today is the first in a new series of poems. I'm still not sure when this series will wrap up, but check back as each new entry is added.
A Whole New World
The rain had finally stopped,
And I wanted out of the house,
All the fighting,
And yelling,
So I slipped out the front,
And went for a walk down by the river,
It was calm,
Peaceful,
Lovely,
I heard the frogs croak,
The birds chirp,
And the sun heated my skin,
I walked,
And then I saw it,
Shimmering,
In the distance,
I wasn't sure what it was,
So I walked,
And when I got closer,
I thought that I was seeing a mirage,
But that wasn't it,
Not it at all,
I walked closer,
And reached out,
My hand went into the fold,
And the instant chill made me jump,
I wanted to know more,
But at the same time,
I was afraid,
But I reached in again,
This time,
The chill wasn't quite so intense,
I eased in,
Not sure what would come next,
I felt it suck me in,
And I landed,
The world that had been replaced wasn't my own,
Instead,
What lay before me could only be described as a hell on earth,
But I felt something pulling me forward,
I couldn't explain it,
But I knew,
I had no choice but to follow,

About the Piece
I'm going to try to start doing a lot more of these continuing pieces, it seems to drum up a lot of interest in you guys and for that I'm very appreciative. Be sure to come back Wednesday for the next piece in this latest arc.
In the meantime you can check out the library. There you will find all of the pieces that I currently have available for sale. You can connect with me on the social media chain of your choice. Finally, be sure to sign up for the mailing list and secure a free copy of "Blackout" A pulse pounding thrill-ride that I'm very confident that you'll enjoy.
Until the next time you want to take a trip through the gates of hell and into the demon's head, I'm Kyle Robinson wishing you a safe trip back to the surface.
