In The Demon's Head #214: A World You Create
March 9, 2015
Hello ladies and Gentleman, I'm writing this post in the midst of lunch hour from my couch. This is actually the second post I've done today. My first was for the pro wrestling network PWPop where I have an opinion piece and am part of a show with my friend Jake Mullen. It's kind of funny mentally bridging from the world of Pro Wrestling to writing a blog about my own writing, because I realize just now that they are very similar, at least in the context of this particular post.

See I'm about to go back to work on my novel and I started to realize a few days ago of what I aim to do when it comes to my writing. I've learned that I want everything to take place inside my own universe. I have a ton of projects and I want everything to correlate and take place in the one universe I create.
I know how crazy that idea sounds to some people. Building your own universe is kind of insane, which is why you don't see a lot of writers really try that. I want to do something a lot of people haven't done with their writing.
I don't anticipate really anything insane like superheros or things like that per se. If we cross a bridge like that then I'll cross it when I get there. However, for now I'm aiming for small but conjoined at the same time.
Now I know some people reading this might be confused as to why I'm letting this cat out of the bag now, before I ever completely finished my first novel. After all, is it really a thing I can keep up through my writing career. The answer is simply yes. This has been a goal from day one. If it's novels, comics, TV shows, movies, at any juncture in my career I want to say that everything is somehow interconnected, even if subliminally.
The worlds that I intend to create I really hope that you guys can lose yourself in, and even find those subtle clues. That's long enough for the post today. Before I go I have to ask, what are some of the worlds you've gotten lost in? Use #theworldIloveis and discuss it on social media, or share your thoughts in the comments below.
Be sure to check out my library, sign up for my mailing list if you haven't done that yet by clicking here, and join me on Facebook for the party of the century. Until the next time you want to take a trip through the gates of hell and into the demon's head, I'm Kyle Robinson wishing you a safe trip back to the surface.
