In The Demon's Head #186: Changing my Strategy
April 21, 2014
Hello everyone and happy Monday to you. I hope that this new post finds you enjoying the weather wherever you are. Here today seems to not want to make up its mind, it's either going to rain, or be sunny but we're still not sure which one yet. I'm spending the day working on my latest project and enjoying some TV. However, that's not what this post is about.

Let me give you a little back information. A couple of weeks ago, I received an email from one of the authors that I'm following. It talked about the ultimate marketing tool. In this post he talked about Social Media and other ways to connect with the readers. A lot of people, myself included thought that Social Media was the golden ticket in how to connect with your readers, but as I've learned that isn't the case.
He talked about a marketing tool that I use, but I push much less heavily then I do everything else, Mailing list. As a lot of you know, I've had a mailing list for quite a while now. However, I didn't see the importance that it carried and on what scale it could be so useful. This post really made me think about the marketing strategy and what I was doing going forward.
Thus this post was born.
From here, I'm going to really start heavily pushing my email list. Trying to give anyone on there premium content for signing up and keeping them on board. I'd like to offer up my thanks for those who have signed up to the list and to those who may do so after this post. In case you're wondering, you can signup on the right hand side of the page by simply proving your email address. If you found this on the Facebook page, there's also a sign up box there as well. Please feel free to sign up, it doesn't cost anything and you'll get tons of freebies. It's really that simple.
But there's more information today with this post.
The new project, whose first draft deadline hits this Friday, has a release date. June 16, 2014 you will be able the yet to be named novella. I am still not sure of the price, but I expect it to be around 1.99. As more updates in this front come, you'll be the first to know. If you're reading this, and you have an idea for a name please share it in the comments section. The story follows a man as he tries to replace his murdered daughter vicariously through kidnap victims. If you have an idea please share it, you'll get credit within the book as well as a free copy.
On the publishing schedule, I expect another novella, a collection, and possibly a novel by the end of the year. However, the novel MIGHT be EARLY next year. (I did capitalize that way on purpose.) I'll keep you updated on how all that works as things evolve going forward.
Last but not least, I intend for the poetry post to return next week. They've been on the back burner for the last few weeks as I try to finish some of the stuff that I'm working on. If it's not next week it will be very soon. I know that's one major selling point of not only this blog, but of the website as well. So I hope that it will find a return very soon.
I'll keep ya'll updated on things that change going forward. I want to say many thanks to everyone who has been reading this blog for a while. I appreciate all the support and love. It means a lot to me.
Remember to sign up for the mailing list like I talked about earlier, you'll also get a subscription to this blog as well as any of the news that I put out. If you have social media, I'd love to have you on there, check out my channels by clicking here. Also, pick up any of the available works out of the Library. Until the next time you want to take a trip through the gates of hell, and into the demon's head, I'm Kyle Robinson wishing you a safe trip back to the surface.
