Hello everyone, how are you doing on the start to this work week? This week, I'm going to introduce you to three more pieces and three more pictures. Without any further ado, let's check out today's picture.
Dangerous Game
The waves flashed around me,
Washing up on my legs,
And I stared out into the sea,
The fishing pole in my hand,
I knew what I wanted,
I wanted the fish,
That took away my foot,
Some years ago,
He came from nowhere,
And jumped,
Landing at my feet,
And he began thrashing,
Tearing into my leg,
And slowly going through my foot,
Before I could stop him,
It was gone,
Torn to pieces,
The doctors couldn't save anything,
And since then,
I've lived with a fake foot,
It took months of intense therapy,
Before I could walk again,
But as soon as I learned,
I was on the water,
I couldn't help it,
Water was my home,
It took me a while,
To find the place,
Where I lost my foot,
But here I was,
Staring out over the open water,
Something in my head,
Told me that it didn't matter,
That the fish was gone,
Or may have died,
And that I wouldn't catch him,
Which turned out to be the case,
I felt great,
To stand on the rock,
And look out over the water,
With the pole on my shoulder,
Knowing that I finally concurred,
My fears,
Without,
Or without the fish,
Life is better,
Now that it's over,
Afterward
This piece turned out to be an interesting one. I didn't know how it would come out when it started but I do like the end result, and I hope that you do as well. You can sign up for the mailing list on the left hand side. All I need is your email address and you'll receive a free short story entitled "Duke" and you'll receive a subscription to this blog. Until the next time you want to take a trip through the gates of hell and into the demon's head, I'm Kyle Robinson wishing you a safe trip back to the surface.
