In The Demon's Head #203: Dawn Approaches
July 23, 2014
Hello everyone I hope that this post finds you doing well. As you may have been wondering, I did not have a post on Monday or Tuesday for personal reasons. I intended to have this first piece in the final set of three available yesterday but obviously that failed. Before we get started with this next piece I'd like to take a minute wish my wonderful Fiancé Liz a belated birthday. She had her birthday this past Monday and I wanted to make sure to tell her how much I loved her.
Without further ado, let's get into the final act of "What Once Was..."

Dawn Approaches
18 Months had passed,
She made sure,
To take precautions,
Prepare and get ready,
For war,
We had been monitoring,
The skies,
and we got notification,
That they were almost here,
We calculated their path,
And estimated their arrival,
We wouldn't be disappointed,
The night before they arrived,
We were in the dining room,
Of the placed that I learned to call,
Home,
She was sitting,
Watching the video,
We had seen,
A thousand times before,
I walked in,
And took a seat,
"You know tomorrow,
Will get very crazy,
She said,
"I expected as much,"
"You know,
There's a good chance,
That we don't both,
Make it back,"
I stared,
Not wanting to believe that this,
Was true,
I couldn't imagine losing her,
Again,
"But we're going to make sure,
That doesn't happen, "
She finished,
Without a word,
I glanced over at the clock,
Dawn was quickly approaching,
And I was ready,
For what was to come,
I was going to do whatever it took,
To save my parents,
This world,
Myself,
And above all else,
Save her,
About This Piece
As I sat down to plot out the end of this entire thing, I knew what I wanted but wasn't sure how to get there. All of the pieces are sliding into motion and I think that when it's all said and done, you'll like the end of the roller coaster that we've been on.
Until the next time you want to take a trip through the gates of hell and into the demon's head, I'm Kyle Robinson wishing you a safe trip back to the surface.
