In The Demon's Head #123: From My Backyard
June 10, 2013
Hello everyone, it's time we begin our week together once more. The process moves forward and everything seems to be falling into some kind of place with these writings. I'm very excited for those of you who are here, and to those of you that are new. I'd like to welcome you onboard. In case you haven't heard yet, there will be some extra post here over the next few weeks as I move some of the post over to this new home. I won't be moving all, but I will be moving some. So until I get those bled in, I'll be posting 4-5 times a week. Let's take a look at today's picture:

From My Backyard
As a child,
I always knew,
That I wanted to play pretend,
And in my backyard,
That's exactly what I did,
I played pretend,
And always hoped,
That one,
Pretend,
Would become my reality,
Because,
In my world,
Pretend,
Was better than reality,
No yells,
No screams,
No death,
No anger,
It was all gone,
In my world,
From my backyard,
The future seemed bright,
Real,
And fun,
From reality,
The Future seems,
Dead,
Horrible,
And overpowering,
I only wish that I had the ability,
To make my reality real,
Then I wouldn't be here,
With the gun pressed to my head,
Wishing that it would end,
But now it can,
With the press of a trigger,
Say goodbye,
To a reality,
That never should have been,
And hello,
To a world,
That I always imagined,
From my backyard,
About the Piece
This piece has proven to me, I can take any picture and make it dark. That really wasn't the intention in the beginning but I can't complain. I liked the way it all turned out. Though, I'd say that the image of the backyard for some is now ruined.
