In The Demon's Head #215: Progress and Hindrance
March 16, 2015
Every year, about this time, I get in the same mood. The weather gets to be amazing outside and I realize that spring, and summer are right around the corner. It's right about this time that I begin to run into the "I'll write tomorrow" mindset. I honestly believe that this year, that will be FAR from the case.

Every year, about this time, I get in the same mood. The weather gets to be amazing outside and I realize that spring, and summer are right around the corner. It's right about this time that I begin to run into the "I'll write tomorrow" mindset. I honestly believe that this year, that will be FAR from the case.
If you've followed this blog the last month or so, you've realized how driven and motivated I've gotten this year. Part of that is finding an awesome group of people to draw inspiration from, part of that is realizing that my life will never improve if I don't do it. Words on paper, and as people have so sweetly called it, "Ass in chair time" is the only way to make sure that your work gets done, and they are correct.
With that said, as you'll notice the picture above, the spring becomes a hard time for me, as I enjoy riding my Can Am Spyder around. I enjoy getting out and really getting on the throttle and riding down the highway, it's a thrill that is very hard to match. However, this year I've made it my personal mission to make sure that my riding time, doesn't cut into my writing time.
As I finish this post, the windows are open in my house, and the weather is great, at the least. I'm very excited about what the future holds, even if I'm patient and slow at getting there, with that said I'd like to share a couple of tid-bits that you'll only get here in this blog post.
First, my second novel has an ending. It's not there yet but I believe that I know where and about how long it will be till I reach that point. I'll give you guys a for sure answer as I near the end of that road. However, and this brings me to number 2, I have a working title for this novel, and I think that it's my sticking title. That working title is... Drum roll please... "Written In Blood" I think that it captures the ideas and the story that I'm putting across.
All of this leaves the door open for the third and final book in this trilogy. While I'm far from sure where that story will go, or what it will be called at this point, I can tell you that it is VERY likely that I will write that book before the end of the year. Tenatively, I think that next year will see the release of all three of these novels, among other projects.
Those other projects, well I don't want to talk about them right now. Mainly, because they haven't started and aren't in the works nearly enough to say that the evidence is concrete that they will be a thing soon. However, everything is progressing, and at a rate that I couldn't be happier about for sure.
See what I did there? Progress and hindrance in a nutshell, damn I'm pretty proud of that tie in. As it stands, I know I'm not the only one who has those progresses and hindrances, what are some of your highs, and lows, when it comes to productivity.
