Hello everyone and welcome to another Friday. I hope this post finds you waiting for the epic conclusion of "What Once Was..." I'd like to say I'm going to prolong the experience, but this ends today. Without any further ado, here is the finale of "What Once Was..."

Hello everyone and welcome to another Friday. I hope this post finds you waiting for the epic conclusion of "What Once Was..." I'd like to say I'm going to prolong the experience, but this ends today. Without any further ado, here is the finale of "What Once Was..."
The Battle To End All Part 2
The shots were fired,
And I watched,
AS thye began to exchange blows,
These things,
Were able to manipulate the world,
With their mind,
And they were using it,
To their advantage,
People were falling in gaps,
Created by these demons,
I could hear their screams,
Echo over the skies,
The Calatars, had their screams,
Mixed with the howls,
I watched the smoke roll from the holes,
As our numbers started to dwindle,
I scanned the field,
There was my sister,
Cutting her way through,
Anything in her way,
I didn't know where she was heading,
But I knew that I needed to focus,
On saving my own ass,
I turned,
And they were on me,
But luckily,
I was able,
To push them back,
And get some breathing room,
I felt the earth,
Start to shake,
And thought,
That they had another trick,
Up their sleeves,
But this time,
The joke was on them,
As hundreds more Calatars,
Began to drop from the sky,
And quickly,
We started to take the upper hand,
I took this chance,
To find my sister,
Who was trying to take down,
Their leader,
I snuck up behind him,
And sunk a blade into his back,
He didn't see it coming,
Or have time to react,
At least not to me,
As he fell,
I realized,
That she was clutching her chest,
As she moved her hand,
I noticed the hole,
Where her heart should be,
She dropped,
I went over and held her head,
But before I knew it,
She was gone,
I laid her hand down,
And turn to scan the battlefield,
It was all but over,
We had won,
I watched as they celebrated,
The hole in my own chest,
Hurting,
We all gathered together,
And began to make our way home,
They were carrying her home,
So she could be buried,
For that,
I was thankful,
Six Months Later
"Sir,
Are you ready to go?"
I turned around,
I had forgotten where I was,
I was watching my parents,
Wishing that I could tell them,
What had happened,
We had buried my sister,
And the world seemed better,
More stable,
I walked to the front of the room,
One that was filled with the last remaining people,
And hundreds,
Of Calatars,
I cleared my throat and began,
"Thank you for allowing me to be your leader,
After this horrible time,
I am honored,
The prophecy must have been right,
In a sense,
But that was the past,
Today we start a new journey,
There are worlds out there,
Beyond our own,
Other dimensions,
Our new goal is to find a way,
To reach these them"
About The Piece
Well that wraps up "What Once Was..." I hope that you guys have enjoyed this piece as much as I have. I'd love to read your comments about the entire piece and what You loved, or hated about the whole experience. Please share your thoughts.
I'm going to take a couple of weeks away from this blog. I'm going to recharge the batteries and begin work on some of my next projects. However, I will return with new pieces. Until the next time you want to take a trip through the gates of hell and into the demon's Head, I'm Kyle Robinson wishing you a safe trip back to the surface.
