In The Demon's Head #163: The Cross
September 13, 2013
Hello everyone, and welcome to Friday. Most people are now excited because today means the beginning of the weekend. For me, the weekend is just another day. I'm glad that some people are able to celebrate the beginning and end of a work week on such a regular scale and I hope that soon I can do the same. In the meantime let's take a look at today's picture:

Hello everyone, and welcome to Friday. Most people are now excited because today means the beginning of the weekend. For me, the weekend is just another day. I'm glad that some people are able to celebrate the beginning and end of a work week on such a regular scale and I hope that soon I can do the same. In the meantime let's take a look at today's picture:
The Cross
I walked through the church,
The bare walls,
Called to me,
I stared above the alter,
And I noticed,
The cross,
But something about it,
Was off,
I walked up,
And inspected it,
It was off center,
And I pulled,
The wall in front of me,
Slid open,
I walked through the wall,
The blackness,
Circled around me,
I touched the wall,
And walked,
Rubbing my hand,
Along the wall,
Walking,
And finally,
I found the back room,
Filled with fire,
Around the fire,
The bodies were scattered around,
End to end,
The shrine was disturbing,
But within the fire,
A paper fluttered,
It flew up,
And landed at my feet,
I picked it up,
It read simple,
The curse is now yours to bare,
The fire went out,
And the blackness took me,
****
I came to,
The sunlight glowing,
The church in front of me burning,
I closed my eyes,
And I saw the vision,
Of those around me,
Burning,
Now I'm left haunted,
By the images,
That won't leave my head,
And I can't shake it,
Knowing,
That it all started with the Cross
Afterward
This is a bit of a sacrilegious post, I can admit that. Though in the end it turned out really good at least I think so. I hope that you guys enjoy it, and I have to say that I'm proud of myself this is nearly my 70th piece published this year. It's crazy how much I've put out there but I think you guys are digging it at least for the most part. Remember to sign up for the mailing list over on the right hand side by providing your email address. Also, you'll receive a free piece, and a subscription to the blog. Next, check out the Library to pick up a copy of any of my available work.
Until the next time you want to take a trip through the gates of hell and into the demon's head I'm Kyle Robinson wishing you a safe trip back to the surface.
