In The Demon's Head #156: The Pack
August 28, 2013
What's going on guys, it's Wednesday. In case you're wondering if you missed a post, don't worry you didn't. I didn't do a blast from the past post yesterday, mainly because I wanted to ease back into the blog this week; after all it's been a little bit of time since I put something up here. I have to say that Monday's post, which coincided with the release of "Blackout" did some strong numbers, and I much appreciate that. Let's get to today's picture and piece, I hope you guys enjoy them as well.

The Pack
The gather in the circle of fire,
Staring into the flames,
Watching the lights flicker,
The moon above,
Calls to them,
It begins,
The transformation,
The bones twist,
And pop,
And slowly,
Two legs,
Become four,
Skin,
Replaced by fur,
And the eyes glow red,
But what is their end goal,
Protection?
No,
Instead,
This pack's goal,
Is destruction,
Few hear of them,
Or what they did,
Or even who they are,
But everyone knows of their mystery,
A mystery that was confined to one word,
Roanoak,
The entire town disappeared,
And they are responsible,
They had a thirst for blood,
That couldn't be satisfied,
And now,
They walk amongst us,
With pride,
For what they did,
Waiting for the next time,
That the pack,
Will come together,
And feast,
On those unaware of them,
About The Piece
When I sat down to write this, I knew that the element of darkness was in there, it came with the picture. I decided to center it around one of the great paranormal mysteries no one has ever solved. I hope that you guys enjoyed this piece, I'd love to see your comments at the bottom.
You can sign up for the mailing list over on the right hand side. It's free, and you'll receive exclusive pieces, offers, and a subscription to this blog, all for free. All you have to do is give me your e-mail address over on the right hand side. Next, if you haven't picked up a copy of "Blackout" be sure to do that by visiting my Library, don't see your retailer listed? Check back, I'll be updating it in the next week or so as new retailers start to distribute it.
Until the next time you want to take a trip through the gates of hell, I'm Kyle Robinson wishing you a safe trip back to the surface.
