In The Demon's Head #202: The Waiting Game
July 18, 2014
Welcome to another Friday, which means that most of you will be celebrating your last day of the work week. I wish I could say the same thing. However, that isn't the case; I still have about three days left before I finally see a day off. To those of you who are ready for the weekend, kick it off right. Today's post, "The Waiting Game" is a set up piece for the final act to come.

The Waiting Game
"It's a matter of If,
Not when,"
She said,
I sat in silence,
Questioning everything,
That I've ever known in my life,
"What exactly do you mean?"
"These things,
Whatever they are,
Are on their way,
We're not sure when they will be here,
But when they get here,
We'll be ready,"
I sat there in silence,
"Did you ever miss Mom and Dad,
Or me?"
"Of course I did,
But there wasn't anything I could do,
All I could hope,
Was that you,
Mom and dad,
And everyone else,
Would go on with their lives,
Like I had to,"
It was then that another question popped into my head,
"Is it true that if we don't stop this,
Then all of the worlds that I saw,
Will collapse,"
She looked away,
I had my answer,
"What if we can't win?"
It was her turn to be silent,
But she finally spoke,
"We have too,
It was written in the Prophecy,
We have to win,"
I hoped that she was right,
Because if she wasn't,
Everything,
And everyone that I loved,
Would suffer,
About The Piece
It's been a month or so in the making but I feel like next week we will see the conclusion of "What Once Was..." I expect it to be a hell of an ending and I hope that you guys are ready.
Until the next time you want to take a trip through the gates of hell and into the demon's Head,
I'm Kyle Robinson wishing you trip back to the surface.
