The Water’s Secrets
I’ve seen too much already,
They know that I’m here,
They intend to end it all,
And hide it in the water,
That water is their hiding spot,
It’s where they will put everything,
Including me,
You may think me crazy,
But the truth is that the water,
Already holds secrets,
Secrets like the death of my brother,
Much for the same cause,
That I now find myself,
Or the fact that my dad,
Left my mom for a younger woman,
A forbidden woman,
That we’ll never speak the name of,
Because she’s now in the water,
It’s all hidden in the water,
And now they want to put me there,
Why?
Because I know,
How do I know?
Because I’ve witnessed it all,
And they are afraid,
That I may talk,
I stand here at the edge,
Looking into the darkness,
Wondering what it is that calls me,
And I realize that the secrets,
Of everyone are trying to pull me in,
If I’m not careful,
I will be there,
I hear the mob coming now,
I have two options,
Either jump,
Or be thrown,
Brother
He calls,
And that’s it,
The water sucks me in,
I am now one with the rest of the secrets,
That the water holds,
And I hope that my lost,
Will not be in vain.
About The Picture and Piece
The picture that I used today called to me about this poem. In fact it was kind of inspired by the video game Allen Wake and if you haven’t played it I beg you to do so if you have an X-Box. It’s a great game that will scare the shit out of you.

A Key To My Heart
She came along and stole it away,
Made me realize that I couldn’t fight it,
And she now camps inside my head all day,
I wanted to believe that it would be the same,
That she would run away in shame,
But it didn’t work that way,
She’s stayed and made me oh so glad,
I wanted to think that it would have ended,
But she’s still here and I’m not pretending,
That I’m not the happiest guy on earth,
You came along as if in a cloud,
And turned my world upside down,
You know I’m not good with this love stuff,
So I’ll end this here it should be enough,
Thanks for the love over the past years,
Through the ups and downs,
Laughter and Tears,
I look forward to the rest of our life together,
I could never picture it with another,
Until the day I die you are my one and only,
Take the key to my heart,
You deserve it honey.
About the Picture and Piece
This wasn’t my first crack at a love style piece but it has been a while. I think it turned out well and I hope that you guys enjoyed it as well. Again to you and yours a Happy Valentines Day.

Welcome Home
For years I’ve chased something,
That I know is real,
I could feel it in my blood,
In my veins,
I was different,
I wasn’t like them,
But I just didn’t know how,
Life became a burden to me,
And I wanted so much to discover the truth,
Then finally it came one afternoon,
As the clouds shifted,
I felt a pull,
And went down an alley on the side of the road,
There at the dead end,
Was a wall,
That appeared normal at first,
But it slowly began to break apart,
And split open,
Slowly,
Smoke began to drift out from the hole,
And funneled it’s way across the ground,
It wrapped around my ankle,
And pulled,
I wasn’t able to stop it as it pulled me into the wall,
I took one look backwards and it was gone,
The wall closed behind me,
And I was left in the dark,
I heard footsteps,
As they approached I felt my heart in my chest,
“Welcome Home” she said to me,
As the light brilliantly flooded my eyes,
I couldn’t believe what I saw,
People were walking,
In what looked like Paradise,
“Home?” I felt myself question,
“Your one of a rare breed my child, You have been given the innate ability,
To see the future,
You always knew you were different,
But you never knew how,”
I stood dumbfounded,
“Wait what?”
The truth is you’ve been on earth for so long,
To watch,
To learn,
To listen,
To interact,
But that time has passed,
And you are home now, “
I felt the air leave my chest,
“If that is indeed the case,
Then what comes next,”
She smiled,
You enjoy the fruits of your labor,
With that I snapped awake,
I stared at the empty room around me,
And I felt the sweat dripping from my forehead,
I looked at the clock,
And it was only 6 AM,
I needed a walk,
To clear my head,
So I headed downtown.
About the Picture and Piece
As you can see from the picture there is a woman in the crack of the wall but I seemed to find it more fitting to write this from a boys’ point of view. I couldn’t explain why but it seemed to work better. For those of you who think the ending is quite abrupt, I’ll say maybe it is but the end point was always the same and I hate rambling when there’s a perfectly good window to get to your ending at the right time.
