In The Demon’s Head #239: Diary of a Demented Man- An Introduction to Madness
September 7, 2015
Today’s post is the first in a two-month long series This series is something that I worked on for quite some time. Before I sat down to write this. I didn’t know how to make this blog a little more personal so that I could connect with readers on a more intimate level. I mean let’s face it, if you’re reading my work then you’re probably curious who the hell it is that you’re reading. Which is where this series of post came from.

Diary of a Demented Man
Diary of a Demented Man was the name that I gave to this series. Here’s why. I’ve written three novels this year, and edited one, well on my way to editing a second one. The third one, among other things are on my radar in the next couple of months. But, here’s the kicker, in order to do that kind of stuff, you have to be damned demented.
I’m crazy, especially since I want to do this for a living. Which means that when this takes off, I’m going to be doing this every day. That means that every day I will be working on something new. That has to make someone kind of crazy. Which is where the Demented man stat comes into play.
At the end of the day I wanted to name this something that really summed up everything about me. A demented man seems to sum it up quite well. So… what is this Dairy of a Demented Man and what is it?
Two Months of Personal Bear All
I designed this entire thing as a way to introduce readers as to where my ideas, my desires, and everything comes from. I wanted to open a new means of interaction between myself and my readers. I wasn’t sure when I first came up with the idea how it would all go, or when it would end.
I laid out the plans on my website and realized that as long as I posted one post a week. It would take about 8 weeks to get through the entire process. I look at this as a memoir of sorts. I want to put on display just exactly who I am and where I come from for people to see. So with that let’s start at the beginning.
Humble Beginnings
The writing bug bit me early. In fact, in fourth grade I was told that I could be a decent writer. I never did think much about it but I still wrote poems and short stories for a while. I never did think about getting them published but they sat there. Each word was a way for me to get a little better at portraying images.
The irony was that I didn’t think about making a career out of my writing until about 2012. I wrote a collection of poetry and short stories. I posted it online without any real idea what the fuck I was doing. As you can expect it didn’t draw big numbers but I hadn’t expected it to. That collection was one of the first runs into publishing that I had. I was excited.
In fact, that excitement still continues to hit me every time I get ready to hit the publish button on Smashwords and Amazon. I sort of feel that way when I push the publish button for this blog. I absolutely love this blog. I enjoy sharing my words with those who like to read them.
With that said I feel that this wraps up the first post in the series. I hope that you’ve enjoyed it and I hope that you continue to join me along for the ride. Be sure to join me on the mailing list by clicking here. Join me on Facebook by clicking here. Last, if you’d like to share some sort of suggestion or comment about the blog. Do that by clicking here.
Until the next time you want to take a trip through the gates of hell and into the demon’s head, I’m Kyle Robinson wishing you a safe trip back to the surface.
