In The Demon's Head #173: Ice Capitals
January 31, 2014
The world as we know it has moved on. That was generations upon generations ago. The world has fallen into shambles, and is a former shell of itself. In this peace "Ice Capitals" we take a look at earth from the point of a general whose re-entering earth for the first time.

Ice Capitals
The choppers quieted as we dropped further down,
We were just over top of what they once called "St. Louis",
But anymore,
It doesn't look like a city at all,
Instead,
The things that live there,
With they're six arms,
Purple skin,
And loud roars,
Give me the creeps,
How those things came to rule this once,
Great planet,
Are not in the history books,
We stay adrift above the ground,
Out of reach,
None of us know how far they can jump,
It's not worth taking the chance,
We fly around the city,
And realize that this entire city,
Is wrapped in ice,
And those things are everywhere,
Then we come to it,
The Arch,
Once known as the gateway to the west,
The Ice overpowered it,
And toppled it to the ground,
Now there's nothing left,
But the remains of the base,
The horrible feeling is back,
And I want to get out of here,
I begin to fly back upward,
Toward the base,
Located just outside of the gravitational pull of earth,
From high above,
I realize,
There are five different sections of earth now,
No more countries,
Or continents,
Instead,
There are five sections,
Ice,
Water,
Fire,
Darkness,
And Neon,
One can only assume the last is full of radiation,
We load back into the ship and get set on our way home,
The nightmares from a world we used to call home,
Not going anywhere anytime soon.

The final post this week comes from the twisted brain that I have. I love to see how things in the future could seriously fall apart and that's the basis for this particular piece. If you liked what you read share the post with people, and put your comments in the section below.
Be sure to check out my library for all the available publications. You can also join me on social media and be a friend, like me, something hell I don't know. I'm also part of an awesome pro-wrestling podcast that if you'd like to check out is located here.
Until the next time you want to take a trip through the gates of hell, and into the demon's head, I'm Kyle Robinson wishing you a safe trip back to the surface.
