In The Demon's Head #153: Sail Away
August 9, 2013
Hello everyone, it's Finally Friday. I'm glad that another week has come and gone and there are more words on paper. That's one of those things that I truly appreciate. I really hope that you have enjoyed this weeks' series of post. I know they weren't connected but I gotta say that I enjoyed writing them all the same.

Sail Away
I stood on shore,
And watched as they sailed by,
Pirates,
Better lives,
Then I'm living now,
I could only hope,
That one day,
My life would be,
Like theirs,
I wanted so much to swim,
To the boat,
To board,
And live out my life with them,
But I knew better,
Knew that wasn't what they wanted me to do,
Then slowly it all gets fuzzy,
And I begin to drift away,
It's my alarm clock,
Waking me up,
Getting me ready for another morning,
Of work,
That I can't stand,
Doing something that I despise,
But what's new,
In life,
You either roll with it,
Or your washed away by it,
But then,
There are those,
Who set their own course,
And it is those people,
Who sail away,
With the love,
And the loot,
