In The Demons’ Head: Technology and How It’s Changed Us
September 23, 2016
Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of “In The Demons’ Head” today is an interesting post to say the least. Mainly because part of this post is being written on a cell phone, in a program that wirelessly syncs with the computer counter part. Now for some of you, I know what you’re thinking, “It’s 2016, that's not really news.” And while you’re right it's still insane how far technology has come.

I've been writing for a very long time. But, it's interesting to me because my very first short story was written and saved on a floppy drive. That's right a 3.5 inch floppy drive disk held the first short story I ever wrote out from start to finish. It's kind of crazy when you think about it that I'm writing this post on a cell phone. That's how far we've come since I was a kid.
Now I can write an entire novel between my phone and my computer and it all syncs between the two flawlessly. It really is a fantastic time to be a writer. But you see, selling the Benefits of technology wasn't the point of this post, I don't think you need that. But instead, for me this post was kind of a moment of reflection.
That’s because as I near competing what I hope will be my debut novel, I realize how far everything has come since the day I wrote my first stories on a floppy disk and then a typewriter on the stoop of a general store my dad used to help run.
Now we’re in 2016 and I’m writing these post between a phone and a computer, while prepping a novel for distribution on my own. It’s been a crazy ride, and I’m interested to see where things go, going forward. As we keep making improvements in the world of technology. Who knows, maybe one day our words will just be broadcast into someone’s thoughts as they want to read them. I don’t know if we’ll ever get that far but it’s crazy to think that we might be.
But for now, you’re reading these words and this particular post is coming to an end. If you haven’t yet please feel free to friend, and or follow me on Facebook, Follow me on Twitter, or be sure to sign up for mymailing list. Until the next time you want to take a trip through the gates of hell, and into the demons’ head, I’m Kyle Robison wishing you a safe trip back to the surface.
