In The Demon's Head #148: The Code
July 31, 2013
Hello everyone, It's Wednesday. I hope this post finds you in good spirits. This week I'm doing something a little different. I'm doing three posts that tell one overarching story. I've done this concept before and it seemed to work out decently well. The pictures gave me the story to tell, so I figured why not. If you haven't read it yet, be sure to check out the first post from this week byclicking here. Enough of that though, for those who have read the first part, let's move on to part number 2.

The Code
I flew around in the jar,
The room was dark,
And it caused me pain,
But I watched,
Trying to find the way out,
I knew that this place,
Held the secret to the salvation,
Of my entire race,
Then it happened,
The miracle,
That I needed,
He stumbled in,
Almost as if,
By accident,
He stared at the room,
Which had to be larger then I imagined,
By the look on his face,
He stumbled to the control panel on the wall,
The numbers on the wall had three levels,
Each level lead into the next,
It was a progressive code,
I wasn't sure what any of them did,
I could only assume that they would open,
All of our prisons,
If that was what was in this room,
He pushed buttons,
One after the other,
Almost in rhythmic time,
Finally,
I heard the machine kick in,
And one by one,
From the top down,
I watched as they all flew out,
Stopping by the door,
Finally,
My door opened,
And I met them,
We all shook our heads,
And came to the understanding,
We knew what we were looking for,
But We didn't know where it was,
The hunt was on,
We were going to end this plan,
To extinguish our race,
Once and for all,
About The Piece
"The Code" is the second part in this trilogy. The name itself really didn't come to me, so I settled on something simple. I have a feeling I know how this ends, and if that becomes the case then It's wonderful. Otherwise, I'm not sure how the end will come. We'll have to wait and see what happens next.
Remember, you can sign up for the mailing list over on the right hand side of the page.
