In The Demon's Head #169: Title Reveal
December 5, 2013
Good morning everyone, welcome to another day in paradise. That is unless you live anywhere affected by the snowstorm (like myself) then today and the next couple seem to look like absolute hell. I hate the snow and ice. I remember as a kid how much I enjoyed it, and then I grew up. At the end of the day though, it will eventually go away, and once again we'll welcome the spring, please let that shit hurry up. In the meantime, I have a few things I'd like to let you in on this post, at the end I'm going to be revealing the current working, and likely permanent, title to my debut novel. So without a further ado, let's get started.

The December Collection
A few things have happened in recent days. I've learned that one of the stories that I intended to include in a collection that was to be released this month is being considered for publication. I should find out within the next few days if it was selected. If it is, I'll have to put a different story in its place, if it wasn't I will be releasing the collection, but it will likely be after the first of the year.
The title of this small collection is currently up in the air due to the story that may, or may not end up included. When I know more about the future of the one story in particular, I'll let you know.
Title Reveal
As some of you, I'm sure, are aware, I've been working on my debut novel. It's a novel set in the same world as Blackout, roughly 25 years after the end of the novella. It is the first of what I intend to be 3 novels in the series. These will be accompanied by 2 more novellas. All together they are part of a yet to be named series. I'm still throwing around ideas for that, and I'm sure that I will have one before this book is available.
But you don't care about the series name, right? I didn't think so. So without further ado, I'd like to present the title of my debut novel, Sovereign. Look up the definition and make your guess what direction you think the series will take in the comments section. I'd love to know what you think will happen next.
I'd like to advise you, that there is a new cast of characters in this novel. Some of the ones from the original return, but a majority of the cast is new. This was always the plan; I wanted the story to take a tremendous leap forward time-wise. I knew that I couldn't do that without restructuring some of the characters, and that's what I did. I think it added a lot more depth to it. Even though I'm not done, I think that the finished product is one that you will enjoy.
I'll keep you updated as time goes by and I continue work on this project. I hope that you guys enjoy what will happen next as much as I have already. If you haven't yet, pick up a copy of "Blackout" only 2.99 and get caught up. Check out the library for your retailer of choice. Until the next time you want to take a trip through the gates of hell and into the demon's head, I'm Kyle Robinson wishing you a safe trip back to the surface.
