In The Demon's Head #126: Without Soles
June 14, 2013
Hello everyone and welcome to the final post this week, welcome to Friday. One thing I love about these post is the ability to share my insight with you guys, and today I'd like to do that. Why? Because today marks a very exciting day for me as, "The Last Of Us" a massive video game, finally hits stores. I know you're probably thinking, Ain't no one got time for video games. Your probably right. But I make time. It's a good day in the neighborhood when a good game finally hits shelves. Enough of my idiotic rambling though. Let me introduce you to the picture for today's piece.

Without Soles
I walked out of my shoes,
Somewhere long ago I lost them,
I don't know where they went,
Life hasn't been the same since,
Without them,
I am nothing,
Confused,
Lost,
And alone,
They were all I had left,
Form my mom,
Who said she loved me,
Before she gave them to me,
But she's also gone,
Left long ago,
To chase a dream,
That I feel didn't exist,
Turns out that I was right,
Because I saw that she had died,
On the news one night,
And I kept on walking,
Because I knew that she would never come,
Home,
That's what I've done,
For the last 3 years,
Walking,
And now I've lost my shoes,
The one thing she gave me,
To remember her by,
I'd love to say that I feel bad,
Or even sorry,
And while I do feel lost,
I don't regret it,
Because this,
Has opened up the door,
Of forgetting,
Forgetting what I was,
Where I was,
Or how I got there,
This world has a lot left to offer,
And without those shoes,
I think,
I will be fine,
Because without them,
I'm without her,
And without her,
The soles,
Won't weigh me down,
About The Piece
This was one of those pieces that was a bit out of my element. I like the way that it turned out but I'm not so sure that I enjoy the entire way I got there. The fact is that while I don't like everything I've put on paper, the responses have been pretty good. I can only hope that you guys enjoy it. Share your comments in the section below.
You can check out all the channels you can connect with me through by clicking here. You can also pick up a copy of any of the books and stories that I have available by clicking here. "Six Feet Under" is now available at most major retailers. Finally, you can sign up for the mailing list over on the right hand side to get a free piece called "Pages" and you'll be ready for the new freebee that will be available on Monday.
Until the next time you want to take a trip through the gates of hell, and into the demon's head, I'm Kyle Robinson wishing you a safe trip back to the surface.
